For anyone that pays attention to north Seattle real estate, and condominiums in particular, Hjarta is a familiar community. Its been on the market for a few years now without much progress on the sales side, although the building itself is incredible.
Hjarta is located at 1530 NW Market Street in Ballard. Its concrete & steel, and LEED certified, with a lot of green construction methods used that other Seattle condos just can’t brag about.
It’s a good location too – while many people argue that Market Street has traffic and its own issues, you can’t argue that its a walkable community (Hjarta scores a 95 on walkscore.com, a “walker’s paradise”) and that Ballard is a sought-after neighborhood.
The news from Hjarta (besides the fact that Matrix Real Estate has just taken over the sales) is that prices have DROPPED. Seriously. Across the board. Prices now start at $229,950 which is substantially lower than where they were. You can get 1 and 2 bedrooms condos at Hjarta ranging in size from 685 to 1,576 square feet.
