I headed home tonight from the office to the sound of helicopters as I pulled into my drive. Naturally, I had to go check out what all the commotion was. The Seattle P-I has a great story here about what happened: a mentally ill man attacked two young people, then took off his clothes and went into the lake. He led police on a bit of a chase on the water and then attempted to hide out on Duck Island.
Eventually police managed to get the man into custody, which was right around the time I made it down to the lake for my regular evening run. Here’s a few photos from the scene down there, as things were wrapping up:
