Geocaching Block Party – Next Saturday in Fremont

Do you enjoy geocaching?  Do you not quite know yet what it is or how it works? Geocaching is a rapidly growing outdoor activity that involves finding “caches” using a handheld GPS device.  In some cases, you’re just looking for the end result.  In most, you take an item from the cache, and leave one behind for the next lucky soul to find.

Next Saturday, August 18th, is the Geocaching Block Party in Fremont.  The fun kicks off at 11am, where you then get four hours to search around the center of the universe for the hidden cases. If you already have a handheld GPS, you can register for a membership on www.geocaching.com.  If not, no problem – there will be devices on hand for lending out.  Then, this coming week, log onto this site here to get your geocaching details for the event.

Apart from the geocaching fun, you can also play games, win prizes, and participate in other activities.

The event kicks off at the intersection of Fremont Ave N & N 34th Streets.  Happy hunting!
