It’s Night Out Against Crime time again already – man, has the past year flown by. This is one of my favorite things in Seattle because growing up in the ‘burbs, we never had this kind of thing. The opportunity to meet and spend time with your immediate neighbors is not to be wasted , so get out and enjoy your night.
National Night Out is Tuesday, August 7th. Many neighborhood blocks will be closed to thru traffic, and a few grills will be in the road for some good ol’ fashioned block party time. Some events have been registered on the Night Out website – and you can view the map showing those events here - but not all are registered.
Because this event involves the Seattle Police Department and is a night out “against crime,” neighbors are encouraged to talk about crime prevention within the neighborhood and Block Watch efforts. This marks the 28th year of Night Out Against Crime.
