Think & Drink, presented by Humanities Washington and hosted at Naked City Brewery & Taphouse in Greenwood, always packs the house with people interested in hearing from local voices on interesting topics. But July’s Think & Drink, coming up on July 17th at 7pm, touches on a rather major subject to Seattleites right now: marriage equality.
The discussion, titled, “State of the Unions: A Conversation on the Institution of Marriage,” will feature social historian Stephanie Coontz, civic leader Anne Levinson and moderator Steve Scher – and as always, will take questions and comments from the audience.
The conversation will cover everything from the historical context of marriage, to the recent legislation and opposition. Although Think & Drink starts at 7pm, it usually sees a full house around 6:30 so people who want to attend are encouraged to show up 30 to 60 minutes early. Naked City Brewery & Taphouse is located at 8564 Greenwood Avenue N.
