Robeks Juice will open this Friday, April 15th, at 7am in the Circa building at 6900 E Green Lake Way N. They’ll carry a selection of smoothies, salads, wraps and juices. Their earlier announcement stated a date of April 14th, but I’ve confirmed with them today that opening is pushed back one day.
I must admit, when I saw this was a franchise store with most of its locations in California and Arizona, I was a little hesitant about seeing one move into north Seattle where even a national fast food chain is rare. But despite being a national franchise, you do have to remember that there are local folks involved. Randy and Lori Nye are residents of Normandy Park in the south end, but love spending their time in north Seattle and are excited about their first venture into owning a business like this.
North Seattle Lola and I stopped in today to take a look at the progress on the TI side of things. The shop is coming along beautifully and looks almost ready!
As I intend to stop in Friday morning on my way into work and pick up a smoothie, I asked Randy and Lori what they recommend for someone looking for a burst of morning energy.
“Strawnana is the most popular flavor,” Lori told me. “And is great with the Powerbek supplement.” The Powerbek supplement features natural ginseng for energy. Randy’s favorite though, and what might soon become mine, is the Raspberry Romance. It’ll make a nice change from my homemade morning smoothie with vanilla protein!
